We need some heat!

On probably one of the hottest days of the year Jessica & Sean got married. I had done their engagement photos months before on a cool day. Wedding day however was a scorcher. First stop, the salon where girls were getting primped and pretty and champagne and orange juice was the drink of the day! Then we headed to Jessica's Nana's who lived minutes away from their ceremony site. Her Nana was hilarious telling little jokes and trying her best to keep everyone's nerves calm.
Jessica had wanted to keep things simple. Her dress was all lace and form fitting..no pouf or crinoline. No veil, just a pretty hair piece. She also had her bouquet made from vintage brooches alongside some flowers. It was so original. The girls wore short black dresses and whatever shoes they wanted.
Did i mention it was hot?? So off to the ceremony. Mohawk Chapel is a historical site and thank goodness was air conditioned. They had water to pass out and lots of trees on the site for shade. Sean looking a little nervous was waiting for Jessica and when she came down that aisle the smile came out. We did all the family photos right there under the trees in the shade. Lots of laughs and goofing around. Then headed to Mohawk park with just the wedding party. Now they all were troopers...it was 35 plus degrees out, sunny and they were in dresses and suits. We hiked down the path to the lake, then back up and around the park. I did give them a bit of a break back in their air conditioned cars. We had one more stop at a cherry orchard where literally 5 minutes later we were on our way to the reception site.

Devlin's in Mount Pleasant was a great setting. They had the entire restaurant for their wedding including the martini bar area. It was really set up nice and dinner was delicious. Jessica and Sean were even so nice to have Anthony meet me there so he could have dinner with me. They had a beautiful wedding day and so many great memories. Once again i'm happy to be a part of a brand new family.
