In those 5 years I have shot almost 150 weddings, endless family sessions, almost 50 babies and baby bellies, 1 divorce trash the dress shoot, quite a few surprise ooh la la shoots for some beautiful ladies, real estate head shots and countless pictures of couples kissing. I am so blessed to have had that much success and been so well received by my clients. My advertising is done on word of mouth and through facebook (yep i'm cheap). The best compliment you can receive is a referral from another client who has been happy with the results.
In 2012 I have decided to take weddings off of my schedule. I am doing a few for very close friends, 1 of who i've known the bride since i was born and 1 of who i've known the groom since he was born. My kids are growing up so quickly and weddings take a large part of my summer away from them and my husband. This year we are planning on trips to the beach and wonderland, maybe out east even to Nova Scotia. I will keep the blog updated with other shoots of course and my family.
If you're looking to do family or baby or engagement shoots or anything like that I am still booking those. I am really looking forward to breathing and enjoying a more relaxed year. I"m sure i'm going to miss the excitement of a wedding shoot and the fun and energy of watching the day unfold. I will not miss the countless hours of going through pictures looking for closed eyes, deleting the ones that don't pop out at me and laughing at the ones that Anthony or I have caught of a groomsman just being himself.
Thank you to everyone who has had a part in my 5 years of fun, I appreciate it all. Thank you to my repeat clients who i have seen from engagement to the wedding, to the baby bellies to the babies and they just keep coming. I love that watching a family grow.
