I had an assistant, Leslie who had gone over to Dan's parents earlier to catch the guys in action...literally. Jumping hoops and everything. Their houses were minutes apart.
Off to the church after a few tears at Lindsay's...only happy tears. Her Dad is an amazing softie. I love when father of the brides have such emotions for their little girls. The ceremony was over and just as they were announced as husband and wife, they turned to face the crowd and threw their hands up in the air and did a little cheer. It was sweet and Leslie caught it perfectly from up in the balcony. Again, another reason why a second shooter is a great addition to your day. She caught so many great shots that i would have missed while doing the more formal shots.
Their reception was at Liuna Station in Hamilton and it was stunning to say the least. We got first looks at the room and what a beautiful set up they have. Family shots and wedding party pictures soon followed. It was full of laughs and fun and a super cute flower girl and ring bearer. Then everyone but Lindsay and Dan left as I got some romantic and fun of course, shots of these two cuties. It still makes me laugh as Dan told me at their engagement shoot that they were not good at pictures, super un-photogenic....whatever Dan. They came out looking like super models that day...smiles galore for each other and only love in their eyes.
After a huge anti pasta bar Lindsay and Dan and the wedding party were announced and they had their first dance. We sat down for dinner..or should i say rolled out for dinner. Tons of delicious food. Leslie and I sat with the videographer Ryan and we laughed all through dinner. Speeches included a home made book for Dan from Lindsay's brother on how to deal with her. A new twist on the fresh prince song wrote about Dan from his sisters and rapped !
I stayed till midnight on this one and there was so much dancing by the bride and groom who throughly enjoyed their wedding. They partied it up! A great pleasure to meet their families and friends and I'm sure i'll be seeing these two soon.

Venue : Liuna Station, Hamilton, ON
